BIO
As a graduating Photography major, I've spent the last 8 years making photography that represents myself and my relationship with the world. I've worked multiple service industry jobs while going to school full time and shaping my career. Freelance photography has allowed me to grow as a business owner and better adapt to working with clients of all kinds. I've dabbled in many forms of art and photography–black and white film, studio commercial work, fine art, product, fashion, and documentary photography, ceramics, illustration, and sewing just to name a few of my favorites.
Artist Statement
I have this ever evolving relationship with myself and I struggle with it a lot, so making it into visual art has helped me make it tangible. It helps me get closer to myself and cope with struggles I’ve had in my personal life. As a body of work, my style has become very desolate and unsettling–some have even said haunting. Heavily influenced by films and light, my images have a cinematic quality to them. I am moved to create art that moves others. What better concept than Dionysian can describe everything I’ve spent years making? To capture the sensual, spontaneous, and emotional aspects of human nature but to also be a force of chaos and destruction.
